World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

¾ cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter, softened

1 tablespoon vanilla

2 eggs, slightly beaten

3 cups all purpose flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¾ teaspoon salt

*3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

*1 cup chopped nuts

* Omit if making one of the recipe variations.

Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, baking soda and salt and set aside. Cream sugars and butter together until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Using a medium cookie scoop, drop cookie dough on parchment sheets and bake 11-13 minutes. Makes 2-3 dozen.


Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip: 1 1/2 cups Reese’s peanut butter chips + 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips + 1 1/2 cups chopped peanuts

Heath bar Cookies: 6 heath bars, but inot 12 pieces

Chewy Gooeys: 10 kraft caramels, each cut into 4 thin slices + 2 cups large chocolate chips

Creme de Menthe: 2 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur (instead of vanilla) + 3 cups mint chocolate chips

Butterscotch Beauties: 3 cups butterscotch chips

Chunky Peanut Butter Chip: 3 cups peanut butter chips + 1 cup chopped peanuts

Kiss Your Cookies: Form ball of cookie dough around a Hershey’s kiss. Bake 9-11 minutes

Amaretto Almond: (in place of vanilla) ½ tablespoon almond extract and 2 tablespoons amaretto (or 1 tablespoon almond extract) + 1 cup sliced almonds

Kahlua Chocolate Chip: 3 tablespoons Kahlua (in place of vanilla) + 3 cups milk chocolate chips

Caramel Kings with Nuts: Reduce flour to 2 ½ cups; add 20 kraft caramels, each chopped in 8 pieces + 1 cup chopped nuts

Triple Chocolate Delights: 1 cup milk chocolate chips + 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips + 1 cup white chips

Raisinette Dreams: 2 cups raisinettes
