A Saturday Downtown

26 Feb

Dustin and I spent Saturday downtown.  We wanted to go out for breakfast and had place all picked out.  Unfortuantely lots of other people picked the same place and there was an hour long wait.  We couldn’t wait that long so we went to our second choice…also an hour long wait.  Who knew so many people went out for breakfast?  At our third choice we got right in!  Then we helped out at our church for a little bit.  They were having a conference and we helped clean up the luncheon.

Our next destination was the Minneapolis Institute of Art.   While neither of us are extremely into art, it was still fun to walk around and see the sculptures, artifacts and paintings.

Then we decided to head to Uptown and walk around.  We went to a really neat paper store called Paper Source.  I got some cute ideas for birth announcements!

We also stopped in Urban Outfitters and took this cute pic!

At 4:30 we were hungry so we decided to eat at Chino Latino…one of our favorites!  This is our favorite dish on the menu.  I think its called Popocatepe.  Basically its like really good nachos only made with french fries instead of chips.  Yummy!!

After dinner we headed home and to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie.  It was a great day together.

That sounds awesome! Almost as awesome as Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios at Disney World. Which is where we were.

But seriously, you probably relaxed more than we did and some of the best days are days like that. With the move coming up this weekend, I may be slightly jealous of Saturdays like that! 🙂

Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Sat. We’ll have to try Chino Latino. I love new places and that dish looks really yummy. So…do you share that?
