A Wonderful Weekend

26 May

What a great weekend!  Our time downtown was wonderful.  We stayed at the Marquette and got upgraded to an Executive room on the 19th floor!  We had to use our key to access the floor…so cool.  For dinner we walked to 112 Eatery and had an amazing dinner.  You have to check this place out if you’ve never been.

Saturday morning we slept in and then headed to Hell’s Kitchen for a breakfrast of huevos rancheros.  Yum Yum!  Then we just hung out for a few hours spending time at a Farmers Market and the Lake Calhoun area.   Then it was time to go to the Phantom of the Opera at the Orpheum.  FABULOUS!!!!   It was so wonderful to have some time together without Lydia.

Sunday we went to church and then got some plants for the house.  We got a couple of pepper plants, some herbs, and a couple flowers for my perenial garden.  It was a great day to be outside.  We also took Lydia swimming for the first time this summer.  She didn’t like it as much as we thought she would.  We’ll keep trying.

Monday we had some friends over and made paella and sangria.  It was a very relaxing weekend.
