Life is full of unexpected events

10 Feb

We’re at the hospital, not for me, for Dustin.  We’ve been here since Monday morning.  Dustin’s neck had been hurting since the middle of last week and the first doctor he saw said it was from sleeping on it wrong.  Over the weekend his neck got really swollen though and he was in a lot of pain.  The doctor we saw on Monday sent him to the hospital to be treated for an infection.  He’s been in since then getting antibiotics through an IV.  We’re still not sure what caused the infection, but things are looking and feeling much better.  We’re hoping to get him home today.

Saturday morning we woke up to a cold house and realized our furnace wasn’t working.  Thankfully someone was able to come out and fix it temporarily.  Unfortunately our furnace is around 24 years old, and in rough shape, so we’re thinking it might not be long before it needs to be replaced completely.  Perfect.

I’m really hoping and praying that our life will quiet down for little bit now.

It must feel like things are out of control….You’ll get through it, just keep the faith. A new furnace might not be a bad thing. A new furnace will be a lot more energy efficient and should reduce your heating costs. Try to look on the bright side!
Hope Dustin is able to go home and is feeling much better,Love you, Mom E

And just getting done with our taxes…I noticed if you get an energy effect kind you can write if off next year on your taxes. Keep that in mind, might be worth spending a bit more for an awesome tax break.
