This feels right

16 Sep

Almost everyone who knows me knows that I have wanted to be a stay-at-home mom since before I was even married.  When we got pregnant with Lydia I hoped and prayed that I would be able to stay home, but that was not God’s plan.  Even though I went back to work I still felt this longing to be home.  During my second pregnancy I continued to pray that I would be able to stay home after Elliana was born.  Thanks to my fabulous employer I was able to take a 6 month maternity leave.

Over these last few months Dustin and I have been doing a lot of praying, a lot of budget refining, and working on some other ways to earn some income.  I am so ecstatic to say that as of today, I am a full time stay-at-home mommy!!!!

After so many years of prayer and wondering if this day would ever come, this feels so good.  This also just feels so right.  I truly feel like this is exactly where God wants me right now.  When I was working after Lydia was born I always felt so torn and never felt good at either my job of being a mommy or as an engineer.  I’m so excited to be able to be home with my girls and to take care of our home and cook yummy meals for our family.  This feels right.
